Save The Date - Freeman Celebrates 50 Years!
The big celebration is almost here! Make sure you clear your calendar and save Saturday, November 8th to celebrate 50 years of Freeman Library serving the Clear Lake community. The celebration starts when we open at 10 AM and runs through 4 PM, and we have activities planned for all ages.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet astronaut Kenneth Bowersox, hear about the history of NASA from historian Dr. Jennifer Ross-Nazzal, and learn about the Orion program from Lockheed Martin representatives. Take part in the hands-on learning experiences and discovery stations highlighting our maker programs, stop by the mini maker fair hosted by Creatorspace and learn about our future Lee Innovation Lab. Music fans will be able to enjoy hearing the School of Rock perform and sports fans will have the opportunity to meet Diesel, the Houston Dynamo mascot.
Do you have a special memory, photo or memento of Freeman Library? If so, we’d love to hear about it. We’ll have a station set up for you to record a video of yourself (or you and friends or family members) sharing your favorite memory of Freeman Library. We plan to put these together in a video that will be shared on the library’s YouTube Channel.
It’s going to be a fabulous, fun day celebrating Clear Lake and Freeman Library, so mark your calendars and bring the whole family!
