The Northwest Branch Library has several active book clubs that meet regularly each month. If you would like to participate, consider joining one (or all) of the clubs. Fellowship and fun for all. If you have any questions related to the book clubs, please contact the Northwest Branch Library at 832-927-5460 or via email at nw@hcpl.net and a staff member will assist you. This months meeting times and selections are:

The All Fiction Book Club will meet on September 18th at 2:00pm to discuss "Look Again" by Lisa Scottoline.  When reporter Ellen Gleeson gets a "Have You Seen This Child?" flyer in the mail, she almost throws it away. But something about it makes her look again, and her heart stops―the child in the photo is identical to her adopted son, Will. Her every instinct tells her to deny the similarity between the boys, because she knows her adoption was lawful. But she's a journalist and won't be able to stop thinking about the photo until she figures out the truth. And she can't shake the question: if Will rightfully belongs to someone else, should she keep him or give him up? She investigates, uncovering clues no one was meant to discover, and when she digs too deep, she risks losing her own life―and that of the son she loves.

The Inspirational Book Club will meet on September 21st at 2:00pm to discuss "The Inheritance" by Rochelle Alers. Corporate attorney Hannah DuPont-Lowell always pictured herself returning to New Orleans to retire, just not yet. But after her Manhattan company abruptly lays off its staff, there's no better place to figure out a next move than the porch of her plantation-style home.
