It’s the end of October. The time of year when, theoretically, we dust off our jackets, watch TV while curled under a blanket on the couch, eat soup every night, and plan the outdoor excursions we didn’t want to take at the height of summer. The end of October also brings with it the first of the fall holidays: Halloween. Although Halloween isn’t one of my favorite holidays, I do love certain aspects of it. Candy is highest on that list, but I also adore Halloween themed movies, particularly those appropriate for the whole family. This year alone, three new movies in the spirit of Halloween (Paranorman, Hotel Transylvania and Frankenweenie) were released in theaters, proving that the market for family friendly Halloween movies is growing.
