Spring is here!

Spring is finally here! With all the sun, the blossoming of the trees and flowers also comes a wide variety of programming here at Evelyn Meador Library. The first full week of March is Teen Tech Week, and let’s be honest it’s not just for teens. For this week we have several great programs provided for you or your teen.

Tuesday, March 6th at 6:30pm we will be offering the first of three classes on Microsoft Powerpoint. Register here

Wednesday, March 7th at 1:30pm we will be showing you how to access Harris County Public Libraries emedia and emagazines through your tablet or computer. Register here.

Thursday, March 8th at 4:15pm we will be creating Saint Patrick’s Day celebration material with our Cricut machine.

And finally, on Friday March 9th we will be creating hologram projectors for our phones.

But, in more exciting news we start next week off on Monday March 5th at 10:30am with the introduction of our Toddler International Storytime with Mrs. Nancy.  Each week Mrs. Nancy will introduce your toddler to another country and culture through a fun and engaging story with possibly music and visual aids.

And, the Monday after that March 12th at 11:00am we start our weekly Little Maker Mondays with Mr. Mark. For the month of February we will be building boats, then the following Monday we will be sinking them and to finish the month off we will be making bridges. These programs will be designed to introduce your child to the world of making through STEM, STEAM and maker activities.

As always follow us on facebook and check our events page for more programming for you and your family.
