Teen Tech Week 2015: Libraries Are For Making!

This week, March 8 – 14, is Teen Tech Week 2015. This year’s theme is “Libraries are for Making!” and Harris County Public Library is highlighting all the ways that we can spark your creativity, with lots of tech-based programs from 3D printer demonstrations to basic coding and TinkerCAD workshops. You’ll learn about geocaching, the physics behind rocketry, even how to take a better selfie.

Libraries are and always have been about creativity: Whether you want to make it, invent it, compose it, sculpt it, build it or code it, chances are better than good that your library can help you make it better. We have tons of free online research tools like the Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center, and Safari Books Online specializing in software how-tos for newbies and pros alike. We have books and programs for everyone--whether you want to build a business or just  build a better chocolate chip cookie. But the very best resource we have is our librarians. If you can dream it, your librarian can put you on your way to making it a reality. Just ask.
