Teen Tech Week: Mix & Mash @ Your Library

Teen Tech Week begins next week and is celebrated nationally to promote non-print resources available through your library and to encourage creativity in the use of technology.  Here at Freeman we have audiobook collections, music CDs, DVDs and laptops available for check out, but with your library card you can access online copies of magazines, journals, and reference books as well as download eBooks, eAudio, music and movies.  There are so many resources available to you (for school and for fun) with your library card!

In celebration of Teen Tech Week, we have several programs happening in the Teen Zone:

  • Tuesday, March 8thGet Crafty: Recycled Remix @ 4:30 PM – Come learn about recycling technologies and create something cool with recycled materials.
  • Wednesday, March 9th – Anime Club @ 4:30 PM – Join our monthly Anime Club and watch anime, talk about your favorite shows and manga series, or show off your drawings or cosplay costumes!  As always, we’ll have snacks to munch on and highlight library materials that focus on drawing and animation.
  • Thursday, March 10th – Game On! @ 4:30 PM – We’ll be playing games and eating snacks, so stop on by and join us.  Take a chance to fill out a survey telling us about which gaming systems you use and your favorite games.
