Teens: Fall Volunteer Opportunities

Calling all teens! Are you between the ages of 13 and 18? Need volunteer hours for school? Want something outstanding to put on your college applications? This fall, the Atascocita Library is offering two great volunteer opportunities just for you. Check out this blog post for more information!

VolunTeens is a semester long program where teens spend their time shelf reading the collection, preparing simple crafts, and doing assorted tasks for two hours each week.
The Board of Library Teens (BOLT) gives teens a chance to voice their opinion on library services, develop teen programs for the library, and promote the library through community service. This program runs from October 2010 through September 2011 and requires a longer time commitment than the VolunTeen program.
Just drop by the library, pick up an application, fill it out and return it before Monday, September 20th for VolunTeens and Saturday, September 18th for BOLT. Mandatory orientation for VolunTeens will be on Saturday, September 25th at 2pm.
