"Wanda and the Oblahlahs" visits Freeman Library

Local children's book author, Joe Sutton, will be at Freeman on Monday, July 18 at 2:30 pm.  He will be reading his book "Wanda and the Oblahlahs."  It is the story of what happens to Wanda, a little girl who loves to chew gum.  Her parents always tell her to take the gum out of her mouth before she goes to bed.  One night she leaves the gum in her mouth.  She has some very interesting things happen to her...

This is a story about the importance of listening to your parents.  It is based on a story Mr. Sutton told his own daughters when they were growing up.  The book is illustrated by his sister, Jane Sutton Frawley.  After Mr. Sutton reads the book, there will be a craft and a book signing.  Copies of the book will be available for purchase.  Proceeds will benefit the Friends of Freeman Library and the local child advocacy group, Children At Risk.

Tickets are required.  They are free and available starting thirty minutes before the program.
