This Week and Next @ The Little Blue Library

We hope everyone had a nice Labor Day this week.  Here is a re-cap of this week for The Little Blue Library.  Wednesday we had our Spin-A-Yarn group meet at 11 am in the Mercer Botanic Center at 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd. The building is located on a street called Titleliest adjacent to the CVS. If you like to knit, crochet, sew, craft, and chat then this is the group for you.   Our Word Crafters also got together on Wednesday @ 5 pm in the Lone Star Café of Lone Star College North Harris.  If you like to write or would like to start then come join us next week and the same time and place.  Thursday we had our Foil Masterpiece craft for teens @ 3:34 pm.  They turned out to be true masterpieces!  Friday @ 1 pm, we had English as a second language with Teresa Allen.  This class is a basic level class, and is free to the public.  No registration is necessary.
Now here is what we have coming up next week.  Monday, September 10th we will have Storytime in the Gardens @ 10:30 am.  The subject will be rocks.  Our children’s program, DIY Lava Lamp will be @ 4 pm for ages 6 to 11 years.  Join us and make your own lava lamp with a little bit of science and a lot of excitement!  Then in the evening at 6 pm, we will have English as a second language with our beloved Cindy.  This class will take place at the Mercer Botanic Center at 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  The building is located on a street called Titleliest adjacent to the CVS. The class is free and there is no registration necessary.  On Wednesday, we will have Spin-A-Yarn at 11 am in the Mercer Botanic Center.  Word Crafters will meet that evening at 5 pm in the Lone Star Café of Lone Star College North Harris.  On Friday @ 1 pm, we will have another English as a second language class with Teresa Allen.  It will take place inside the Mercer Botanic Center at 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  If you have any questions about the location of the English classes, please call Cindy at 832-927-5480.  As always, they are free to the public and no registration is necessary.  So come by the Little Blue Library and see what we have going on.  We would love to see you here!

Are there ESL classes in Deer

Are there ESL classes in Deer Park? If so when do they meet? Thank you. Dian Groh

Hello! Deer Park Public

Hello!

Deer Park Public Library is not part of Harris County Public Library system. Here is a link to its website.

That being said, our Galena Park, Jacinto City and North Channel libraries are relatively nearby. Here is the ESL calendar for those locations.

We hope this helps. Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.
