Wild West Tales

HOWDY BUCKAROOS, it's time to dust off your hat and mosey into town for The Houston Livestock and Rodeo. This event started yesterday and will run through March 21st.

While growing up, I frequently watched my cousin compete with her American quarter horse in barrel racing I was always amazed at how she worked her horse through the tight curves of the clover leaf design.  During each run, the abilities of horse and rider are tested against the clock for their strength and agility.  Some say, there is no greater love than that of a girl and her horse, and for those who participate in rodeo events this may be true.

Cowpokes, I know that you have dreamt of reading a Western tale or two. So, I have rounded up a few just for Ya'all. These have been placed on our storytime database, and are also listed below. Now for those of you who will be wanderin' over to the rodeo,  I feel I must give a bit of advice, remember to have fun and  never kick a cow patty on a hot day.
