Winter Books and More
I was born and raised in Colorado, so I’ve experienced more than my share of frigid winters, and even a few major blizzards.
That being said, during certain times of the year, such as the holiday season; I miss feeling the brisk chill of Jack Frost and the crunch of snow beneath my feet. I think that is one of the reasons why I so enjoy sharing books about winter with children.
Below is an assortment of picture books and fingerplays that address this theme. I’ve used many of these items in my family storytime and they are beloved by children of all ages.
