Worldwide Craftsy Meetup Party (Craftsy Fun for the Children, Too!)
Have you wondered about all the yarn projects popping up around the Children's Department and other parts of the library? You can see hats and scarves on statues, teddy bears and polar bears with scarves, a bookmark holder with a knitted sweater, a book cart with a scarf tied around it, and a magazine rack with a cap on top These are just a reminder that children as well as adults are welcome to attend the Worldwide Craftsy Meetup Party this Thursday, January 26 at Freeman Library.
Children and adults are encouraged to stop by the Community Room any time from 1-8 pm to work on their latest craft project and find out what other crafters are doing. If you don't have a craft project to work on, don't worry. There will be several projects for all ages to do: simple lacing, origami, and making a bookmark with a tassel.
If you get inspired to do some more craft projects, just check with the Children's staff to find craft books to check out. Also, the Friends of Freeman Library Bookstore gets donations of craft books that you can buy to keep at home.
