Your Library Online

In the February 17, 2004 edition of PC Magazine, the article "Your Library Online" by Janet Rubenking explores the database offerings at your local library. It's an interesting article about a hidden resource most libraries offer including Harris County.

Harris County Public Library provides access to over 70 databases. Some of the databases are provided by TexShare, while others are purchased by the library for our customer's use. Of the databases mentioned in the article, we provide access to databases from Gale (e.g. General Reference Center, Literature Resource Center), Ebsco (e.g. Masterfile Premiere, Business Source Premiere), Reference USA, Learning Express Library (Learn A Test), and Searchasaurus.

These databases, along with ValueLine (available in library only), NetLibrary, Novelist, and others, are available to any Harris County Public Library card holder. To use the databases from home, you only need your library card number. Check them out!
