Military Library Card Application

This form is for the use of active duty military personnel who wish to get a Harris County Public Library card. All active duty military personnel are eligible for a library card. A military email address is required to obtain the card and is proof of your address.  Your card number will be sent to you at your military email address and the physical card will be mailed to your address.

Choose a 4 digit number PIN.

You need a PIN along with a library card number to review account information, renew materials or place holds online at home or with a public computer located at any of our HCPL Branches.

Please enter a valid military email address.  If an alternate email address is provided, this will be used for proof of address only and will not be used for any purpose other than to send your library card number.  If this is the only email provided, you will also receive notices from the library.

If you do not wish to receive library notices at your military email address, please enter an alternate email address.

If you applied for a temporary library card number online, please enter the number so we can activate your account.
