Speeches of the Resistance

Ripples of HopeEveryone has heard excerpts from Martin Luther King, Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech, but it’s just one of many great, moving speeches that came out of the American Civil Rights Movement. You’re invited to come to the Young Adult area of the library on Monday, January 13, at 3:00 pm, to hear and discuss some of these works of expository art. Attendance at this program will help you to compete in the "Who Can Name That Speech?" quiz show on the following Friday.
