Film School (Sort Of)

Reel to Reel Projector: Photo Courtesy of Jupiter ImagesTeens, school for Aldine ISD starts on Monday. It will be a busy day. There will be new subjects to study, new textbooks to read, and new friends to make. Once it is over, you'll need to wind down and what better way to do so than with a movie? That's right. The Aldine Branch will be showing a movie to celebrate the first day of school. The show starts at 3PM in the meeting room and we'll see you there. And bring that new friend you made along with you.

The Poetry Jam Continues

We have the latest installment from the teens' Poetry Jam sessions. Watch how Johana tamed her computer's visualizer with her very own poetry tune!

Volunteer Clean-Up Day

Aldine volunteers

It has been a busy summer here at the Aldine Library. That's the way we like it. Now that the Summer Reading Program has drawn to a close- and with school getting ready to start- we decided the library could use a good cleaning. This morning, a few good volunteers from the community stepped up to the plate and went above and beyond the work provided by the library janitorial service. Tables, computers, doors, windows and desks got a good swabbing. Thanks to the effort of our teen and adult volunteers, the building is looking nice, neat, and extra clean.
