Anime Club!

We’re excited to report that the Ichisaku  Anime Club is coming back to the Aldine Library. The club will be co-sponsored by the library and will be an ongoing program. The first meeting is on Wed. Oct. 16th, from 5-7 pm. The club will meet every Wed.  except for Wed. Nov. 13 th. So make your plans to be here!

Fall into a good book at Aldine

Hey there, Aldine! I heard there may be some cooler weather rolling into the Houston area this weekend. Just in time, too, because we've got some new Fall and Halloween related titles coming in to the library that are really spooktacular. Come by and take a look. Get ready for Autumn!

Dog Gone Fun Coming!

picture of german shepherd dogCome and see a real police dog in action. As part of our Gulf Coast Reads celebration, Sgt. Stuart from HPD will be here with some of his canine friends. He'll show us all the neat things they can do. You'll learn a lot. And after their work is done, you'll be able to pet them! Come see us on Wed. Oct. 9th at 3:30 pm!

Come celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Aldine Library by watching a movie about a young boy from Mexico who travels to the U.S. to find his mother after his grandmother passes away. The film is rated PG-13. Refreshments will be provided. We'll see you today, Saturday 9/28, at 2 PM in the Meeting Room!

Join our Book Discussion!

Every year people all over our area join reading and discussing the same book as part of the Gulf Coast Reads program. Join us on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10:30 to discuss The Dog Stars by Peter Heller. In this story, a flu pandemic has killed most of the world’s population. Hig, a survivor, lives with his dog Jasper in the local abandoned airport. But then he receives a radio transmission.
