Traveling Naturalist

Do you know what animals are prey and what animals are predators in the area where you live? Would you like to find out? Then come join us at the Alvin D. Baggette Community Center Thursday, July 28th at 3 pm, for our Amazing Animals program. A Traveling Naturalist with the Challenger Seven Learning Center will be bringing live animals and talking about these incredible animal. This is a ticketed event, so please pick up your free ticket at the circulation desk in the library starting on Monday, July 25th. You must have your ticket present to attend this program. One ticket per child while tickets last.

Kids, your favorite magic show is back! Ronald McDonald will be at the Alvin D. Baggett Community Center tomorrow Thursday, July 30th at 4:00 pm for his well-loved reading magic show. Hey Kids, Toro will be at the Alvin D. Baggett Community Center for our Summer Reading Program this Thursday, June 23rd at 4:00 pm!! Meditaion for Healthy Living

Then join us this Monday, June 13th at 4:00 in the Galena Park Branch Meeting Room for our “Meditation for Healthy Living” program. Houston Food Bank Will Provide Nutritious Free Lunches to Kids at Galena Park Branch Library this Summer

Harris County Public Library is proud to announce that Galena Park Branch Library will provide nutritious, free lunches to area children through the Houston Food Bank’s Kids Café program. Only children 1 – 18 years are eligible. Meals and snacks are provided on a first come, first served basis. Supplies are limited, but will be adjusted depending on demand.

June 6 – August 3
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays
Lunch 12:00 – 1:00 pm
