"Catch Me IF You Can" Animal Program

Do you know what animals are prey and what animals are predators in the area where you live? Would you like to find out? Then come join us at the Alvin D. Baggette Community Center this Thursday, July 30th at 3 pm, for our Catch Me If You Can program. A Traveling Naturalist with the Challenger Seven Learning Center will be bringing live animals and talking about the difference between a prey animal vs a predator animal. This is a ticketed event, so please pick up your free ticket at the circulation desk in the library before the program begins. You must have your ticket present to attend this program. One ticket per child while tickets last.

Ballet Talks

Do you like dancing or the ballet? Then come join us tomorrow Thursday, July 9th at 3:00 pm in the Galena Park Library meeting room for Ballet Talks. A representative from the Houston Ballet will be coming to the Galena Park library to tell us the wonderful story behind the ballet The Sleeping Beauty.

There will be tutus, pointe shoes and props for everyone to enjoy. Hope to see you here!

Storybook Opera at Storytime

To all young story and opera lovers, we are going to have an awesome storytime program this Wednesday, June 17th at 11 am in the meeting room. An Opera singer with the Houston Grand Opera will be singing a great story to us about an adorable cat who saves the day when her master can’t perform at the Opera.

Superhero Boot Camp

Don’t forget, we are having a Superhero Boot Camp TODAY at 3 pm in the park next to the library. So come in your best superhero attire and be ready to get in shape like the superheroes do. Hope to see you there!
