We Have A New Friend At GP

Hey everybody! Come meet our new huggable, lovable friend Gene the Bear. Gene the Bear loves to read books, eat berries and honey, take extremely long naps, and chase butterflies when he is not napping. He enjoys picnics and helping people. One day, Gene the Bear decided he wanted to help his community but did not know how. He went to visit his friend Congressman Gene Green for advice. After a long conversation, they decided that the best way for Gene the Bear to help his community was to become a reading companion for children at the Galena Park Library...

Library closed on Labor Day

Starting Wednesday, September 2nd at 4:00 pm we will be offering weekly adult indoor exercise sessions that will keep you active and healthy. studentSummer is over and that means it's back to school time.  Did you know that besides some cool new shoes and sharpened pencils, there's something else you need to succeed in school?  Your library databases!  We have an incredible amount of resources available online, such a magazine and journal articles, essays and links to controversial topics (perfect for persuasive essays), online practice tests and skill building exercises for SATs, and so much more.  You can access all of these great resources from home with your library card, or come in to the library and we will be happy to walk you through these tools.&n
