Week of the Young Child

Children's Librarian reading to school kids.April 14 - 20 is the "Week of the Young Child." This annual celebration brings forth the importance of early childhood programs and services. On Wednesday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m., Rosalinda, the Children's Librarian will have some fun activities planned along with her reading of "Curious George Visits the Library." Technology Petting Zoo!

kindle touchYour Jacinto City Library will be having a technology petting zoo on Saturday, April 6 from 10:30 to 12:30. Stop by during this time to test out eBook readers and tablets that you have been curious about. Staff will be at hand to answer questions you may have about how eBooks and eAudio can be downloaded from the Harris County Public Library digital media catalog. ESL classes will be starting soon at your Jacinto City Library, but before they do be sure to stop by the library. This will allow you to sign up to be updated with the class schedule once it is established. It will also let the instructor know exactly how to prepare the ESL class to best benefit everyone.
