The Middle School Spot Maker project this week is throwies. Make some of these magnetic LED lights to brighten up your locker or bedroom! All kids and teens 10-13 are welcome this Wednesday, August 31 at 5 pm.

Let’s Read About Trucks at Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek Library

We are busy exploring ways we get from here to there this month in Toddler Time.  We drove our cars, flew our planes, road on trains and now we reading about trucks.


Please join us this Wednesday, August 24 at either 10:15 AM or 11:00 AM for Toddler Time.  We will read a story, sing some songs and learn fingerplays


Toddler Time is a ticketed program.  Free tickets are available at the information desk starting at 10:00 AM on the day of the program.

ESL Reading Group

Katherine Tyra library will be starting a new ESL reading group for individuals whose first language is not English. This class is intended to help people learn to improve their reading skills. The group is open to all reading levels with no registration needed. 

Our first class will start tomorrow, August 24th, at 6:00pm in our foreign language area. Classes will be on Wednesdays at 6:00pm and Saturdays at 2:00pm. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 281-550-0885.

Preschool Storytime: Kittens

Meow! Join us on Tuesday, August 23rd at 10:15 AM for a cat themed Preschool Storytime! We will be reading fun books about cats and making a craft. Preschool Storytime is a ticketed program, so make sure to grab your ticket from the information desk before it starts. This program is intended for children ages 3-5 years.

Preschool Storytime is made possible through the support of the Friends of the Bear Creek Library!

Buttons Galore!

Design and Create your own buttons to decorate your backpack at Teen Time on Monday, August 22 at 4:00 pm. We'll be using computers to create your own design and then using our in house button maker. All teens 12- 18 are welcome.
