And the Winner of the Dr. Seuss Book Poll is...

Green Eggs and HamThe children at the Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek Library have spoken: For the second year in a row, Green Eggs and Ham is the winner of our Favorite Dr. Seuss Book Poll! Voting was held in the children’s area during the month of March in celebration of Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2nd. We received a total of 140 votes, and Green Eggs and Ham was the clear winner with 37. Coming in second was the holiday classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas with 20 votes. Thanks to all who voted!!!

It’s Peek-A-Boo Guess Who with Pets at Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek Toddler Time

Peek A Boo BearHoney Bear is bringing some pets to play Peek-A-Boo Guess Who with Pets at Toddler Time, Wednesday, April 13 at 10:30 AM or 11:00 AM.   We will sing some songs, read a story and spend some time with Mr. Alligator, Honey Bear and our surprise mystery pet.  We can’t wait to see you there!

Toddler Time is a program for children from 18 months to 3 years of age.  This is a ticketed program. Free tickets are available at the information desk starting at 10:00 AM on the day of the program.

Teen Programs @ Katherine Tyra

Ant ManTeen Time: Monday, April 11th at 4:00pm we will be watching Ant Man (PG). All teens ages 12-18 are welcomed.






PinwheelsTuesday craft: Tuesday, April 12th at 4:30pm we will be making Pinwheels. All kids ages 7-12 are welcomed.

Mobile Clinic @ the Library

West Houston Community Health Center will have a mobile clinic here on Wednesday, April 6th from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Free blood pressure, glucose, BMI, and cholesterol screenings are available for all adults.  You can be insured or uninsured.  For more information call Fabi at 713-462-6565 ext 119.

A Very Silly Preschool Storytime

Join us on Tuesday, April 5th at 10:30 AM for a very silly Preschool Storytime! We will be singing silly songs, reading hilarious books, and making a funny craft. Preschool Storytime is for children ages 3-5 years. A free ticket is required to attend this program, so make sure to pick one up from the information desk before it starts. Hope to see you there!
