Harlem Renaissance Party

Join us on Saturday, February 18th at 1:00 PM as we celebrate African American History Month.  We’ll be having a very special Harlem Renaissance Party.  Hear music from Roaring 20’s and enjoy snacks.  Enjoy hearing poetry from iconic African American poets.  Families can create art inspired by the artists and musicians of the period.  All are welcome to attend.

It Is Easy Being Green at the Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek Library

frogJoin us on Wednesday, February 15 at 10:15 AM or 11:00 AM for a fun session of Toddler Time.  We are still learning our colors this month as we explore the color green.  Come  jump into the fun at Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek Library.

Toddler Time is an early literacy program for children from 18 months to 3 years of age.  This is a ticketed program.  Free tickets and a craft are available in the children’s area of the library starting at 10:00 AM on the day of the program.

Preschool Storytime: Friends

Join us for Preschool Storytime on Tuesday, February 14th at 10:15 AM as we celebrate Valentine’s Day by reading about friendship and making a Valentine’s Day craft. Preschool Storytime is a ticketed program, so please make sure you grab a free ticket from the children’s area before it starts. This program is for children ages 3-5 years old.

Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek’s Second Annual Invention Convention, Thursday, February 16 at 4:00 PM

IdeaPlease join us Thursday, February 16, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, as we celebrate African American History Month by exploring the contributions of great inventors.   Come explore some fun STEAM stations while enjoying Chef George Crum’s delicious invention. Hint: You cannot eat just one of them. 

Children 4 to 12 years of age are welcome.  Younger children attending this program will need their caregiver to assist them with some of the STEAM activities.  Discover the fun at your library!
