Preschool Storytime: Creepy Crawlers

Join us on Tuesday, July 12th at 10:15 AM for a creepy-crawly Preschool Storytime. This week we are reading about insects and spiders! Yuck!

Remember, a free ticket is required to attend this program; Tickets are available at the information desk starting at 10:00 AM. Preschool Storytime is for children ages 3-7 years. Hope to see you there!

What’s Your Favorite Sport? Come Cast Your Vote at Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek Library

SportsBaseball? Football? Soccer? Do you have a favorite sport? Check out our new sports bulletin board located in the Children’s Area of the library.  Vote for your favorite sport by selecting a die cut of your favorite sport then attaching it with a sticker to the bulletin board. 

Participating counts as one of your summer reading activities, so be sure to count your vote toward completing your summer reading program.  It is not too late to sign up for our summer reading program.  Sign up here.

Using your iPad @ the Library

ipadThis Friday, July 8th, at 1:30pm the Katherine Tyra library will be having a free computer class on using your iPad. Learn more about the built in apps, downloading additional apps, music, and more! 

Later at 4:00pm learn about the internet basics, where we will teach you how to surf the web and explore new websites. Find out how to protect yourself and new ways to search for items. All classes will be in our meeting room.

Summer Fun: Snakes in the Library!

Are you a fan of snakes? Are you feeling brave? Then join us on Tuesday, July 12th at 3:00 or 4:00 PM for a special Summer Fun program with the Snake Man! Come see a variety of non-venomous snakes and learn more about  this slithery reptile and the role it plays in our ecosystem. Summer Fun is geared towards school-age children; families are welcome. Tickets will be available at the information desk one hour before each program starts. First come, first served.
