The Trolls are coming!

Come and create these clever little guys from Norway!  They haunt bridges and get outsmarted by goats.  They turn to stone in sunlight and are reportedly very stupid.  In a very popular book and movie, a full grown Mountain troll was defeated by it's own club and a wand up the nose.  In another favorite tale it took an elf, a dwarf, a wizard, two men, and four hobbits to defeat the great ugly thing.  In my favorite cartoon show from when I was little they were a little more cunning, but were alway outwitted by the gnomes! They're trolls of course!  Come make one of your very own on Wednesday, August 16th at 5pm.

Jell-O Painting Infant Explorers!

Leovigilda with Jello Art WorkYesterday we had special guest Leovigilda Genova in our Infant Explores Program.  I had the privilege of showing Leovigilda the ins and outs of Jell-O painting.  We were all slipping and sliding around in abstract full sensory exploration art.  If you have never experienced this particular medium it is highly recommended.  The babies squished it in their fingers and toes.  Afterwards we all cleaned up to play with some infant toys and chase down some bubbles.  Thanks to Leovigilda for participating in our program today and to the happy children of the Katherine Tyra Library community for cutting loose and having fun.
