HEB is launching their Read 3 campaign at the Katy Branch Library on Saturday, September 17 at 12:00 p.m.  By supporting early literacy, they hope  to educate parents and caregivers on the importance of reading to children.  The program is open to all families and will include stories and   H-E-Buddy activities. 


 the Tender Loving K-9s are bringing their R.E.A.D., Reading Education Assistance Dogs to the Katy Library on Saturday, September 24 from 11:00 to 12:00.  These trained therapy dogs along with their handlers provide an irresistible, fun way for children to practice their reading skills.  Stop by the library to register your child for a reading session with one of the dogs, or call 281-391-3509.

Texas Workforce Commission Resume Seminar

ResumeThursday September 22, Katy Library will host a resume seminar.  A presenter from the Texas Workforce Commission will give professional insight on the do’s and don’ts of creating a strong and well organized resume. Learn what to emphasize and omit from your resume to impress potential employers. The seminar will last two hours, from 12 to 2 PM.
