Last Week for Summer Programs

SummerDon't miss out on our last week of summer programs at the Katy Library!  The teens are having a Blacklight Party on Monday (8/01) at 2:30pm with glowing food and games.  For the younger ones, pick up a ticket on Monday morning for the Tuesday (8/02) afternoon clown show.  This program starts at 2:00pm and requires a ticket to attend.  Adults aren't left out - come learn about getting started with quilting on Thursday (8/04) at 1:00pm.  Also, on Monday (8/08) our weekly Genealogy Lunchbox will include a talk on how to find people in the census when their names are misspelled.  To learn more about our regular programs, take a look at our online calendar for all the details.

Computer Skills II Excel 2007 Class

Excel 2007As we wrap up our discussion on Word 2007 this week, we will begin our introduction on Microsoft Excel 2007. We will start by examining the Excel ribbon, seeing how it compares to the ribbon in Word. We will also learn the basic parts and functions of Excel before we create a personal budget worksheet and insert a graph. Excel will be covered over five separate one-hour class sessions.

Learn to Quilt

Are you a quilt admirer or would you like to learn how to make your own quilt?  Come on Thursday, August 4 from 1:00 to 2:00pm, when an experienced group of quilters will be here to display their craft and show you how to get started.
