It's not too late - you can still pick up your copy of Outwitting Trolls by William G. Tapply and join us on Saturday, March 5 at 10:30am for our next mystery book club meeting.  We keep copies for check-out at our circulation desk, so ask for yours!


 Diwali or the Festival of the Lights is celebrated by families across India.  Learn about this traditional celebration in Multilingual storytime with stories, songs, and crafts.    Monday, February 28, 11:00.   For ages 3 to 6.

Saddle Up

RodeoCan’t wait for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo?  You’re in luck.  The 68th Annual Katy FFA Livestock Show & Rodeo starts Thursday night, February 24.  Events will take place this Thursday through Saturday at 7:00pm at the Fairgrounds at I-10 & FM 1463.  And don’t miss the parade leaving from Rhodes Stadium on Saturday at 9:30am.  The parade route runs south on Katyland Drive, then west on Highway 90 to the Katy High School.   


Ah, a water garden!

Well, weatherwise, we're finally getting a glimpse of spring and its time to think of warmer things - like a water garden!  Join us on Thursday, February 17 at  2:00pm when Nelson Water Gardens will be here to telll us how to get started.

Black History Programs Coming Soon

We have two programs for you to enjoy here at the Katy Branch.  The first program, on Saturday, February 12,  from 3:00 - 4:00pm, features local poet, Alice Redditt, who will deliver a special reading.  Then on Saturday, February 19, from 12:00 - 4:00pm, we'll host a Black History Movie Day, where we'll show films featuring African American musicians - call for details!
