Hey teens, join us for a lively discussion of The Book Thief, Tuesday, February 9 at 5:30 p.m.  Haven’t read the book, come anyway to help select books for future meetings.

Get Your Kids Ahead with Typing

Fingers courtesy of Clker.comTyping with thumbs or henpecking with two fingers can only get you so far in this world.  Give your kids a headstart by teaching them to type with a full computer keyboard.  Or better yet, bring them to our Typing with Kids classes.  We have two scheduled this month on Thursdays, 2/04 and 2/25, at 4:20pm.

Join the Katy Library’s Spanish Book Club for lively book discussions the first Wednesday of each month.  The club will meet Wednesday, February 3 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss Detras de la Lluvia by Joaquin M. Barrero.

African American History Month - Poetry Celebration

Poetry courtesy of Clker.comStarting on Monday, we're featuring African American poets all month.  Become a poet yourself by penning a few lines for others to read or put together our poetry puzzles from celebrated authors.

Learn English at the Library

Conversation courtesy of Clker.comWe've added English conversation classes at the Katy Library for intermediate and advanced English speakers.  Our ESL Book Club (intermediate) meets once a  month to discuss a book.  The next meeting is Wednesday, 2/17, at 3:30pm.  The Advanced ESL conversation class meets every Monday at 5:30pm.

For either class, stop by and fill out an application and placement test so we can get you started.  For beginning English students, watch in late 2016 and early 2017 for our Basic ESL classes.
