Books Alive performs "Tacky the Penguin"

On Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 10:30am, we are very excited to present the Books Alive performance of the beloved children's book, "Tacky the Penguin."  This performance will take the place of our Toddler Story Time for the week.  Try to get to the library a little early, as early voting will be taking place and finding parking may be difficult.  The performance will be in the children's area, right when you walk in the door.

This is sure to be a fun event!  Don't miss out.  There may be opportunity to take pictures at the end, so don't forget your cameras!

Halloween at the National Museum of Funeral History

Did you know that the National Museum of Funeral History is located in Houston? In addition to the exhibits they have everyday,  the museum has some great events for Halloween.  Their annual Haunted House is open every day and runs until November 2nd.  It is rated PG-13, and is sure to "scare you to death!"  On October 22, they will have a Halloween themed classic car show.  These events are sure to be a great time and I can't wait to get out there and check it out!
