Grand Opening Donation

Ross donation check

Thank you, Ross Dress for Less!  For their March 8th grand opening at the Katy Mills Mall, they donated $1,000 to our Friends of the Katy Library.

A 1001 books before kindergarten?   It sounds like a lot of books, but if you read just 3 books a day, you’ll be done in almost a year. Easy!  This early literacy program is designed to prepare your child for kindergarten and encourage a love of reading.  Stop by the Katy Library for a special reading log, and ask us to help you pick out books your child will be sure to enjoy.

Welcome Back, Here's a Reading Suggestion

Reading - clipart provided by Clker.comYou know what... you're not alone.  People come in to the library every day and tell us "I haven't been in the library since I was in school."  We are excited to have you back.  And to get you started on figuring out what to read, click here for an article that gives you a book suggestion based on your favorite book as a child.  Welcome back!
