Brand New Computer Skills II Course Starting in July

ExcelStarting Wednesday July 13, the Katy Library will be offering an ongoing course in intermediate computer skills. Some topics to be covered include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007, as well as social networking on websites like Facebook and Twitter. Classes will be held each week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Monday sessions are given at 10:15 AM with a repeat at 5:30 PM. Wednesday sessions will be held at 1:15 PM and repeated at 4:30 PM. Registration and information is available at the reference desk in the library, or just give us a call at 281-391-3509. Students will register for each new class session on a class-by-class basis. Hurry because space is filling up fast. We hope to see you there!

Register for a Course in Computer Basics Starting in July

Computer ABCsAs our first round of computer basics classes winds down, it’s time to register students for the next session. New classes will start again on Tuesday July 12. Each week, morning sessions will be held at 10:15 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while evening sessions will be held at 5:30 PM on Tuesdays and 4:30 PM on Thursdays. DIGGING UP GOOD BOOKS!

Come by the Katy Branch Library,  and we'll help you dig up a good book to read.  Don't forget to register for the Summer Reading Program while you're here.  Each week you visit the library, be sure to stop by the Summer Reading table and pick up a dinosaur silly band.

SUMMER READING IS HERE!

     Our first summer reading program will be Tuesday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m.  Mark Shepherd will present a magical,     science story time.  He'll bring glowing creatures from the bottom of the ocean, present nursery rhymes with an electrifying twist, and even uncover dinosaur bones!  Seating is limited and tickets are required and may be picked up on Monday, June 6.
