The Week @ the Katy Library – June 28th Edition

SummerSummer officially started last week, but we’ve been blazing for weeks with our summer reading programs.  The kids program on Tuesday this week is the Fourth of July Windsock Craft.  Tickets can be picked up one day before for either the 2:00pm or 3:00pm session.  The teen program on Wednesday at 2:00pm is a Boardgame Throwdown.  Teens can earn points for their team by attending and winning games.

Katy Branch - Spanish Book Club/Club Hispano de Libros

Spanish speakers, join us as we meet monthly for a book discussion.  On Wednesday, July 7, at 6:00p.m.,  we will discuss De Cómo las Muchachas García Perdieron el Acento by Julia Alvarez.

The Week @ the Katy Library – June 21st Edition

MoviesIt’s getting hotter out there.  Come in to the cool and enjoy a movie starting this week.  Every Monday at 3:30pm this summer, we’ll show a family-friendly flick for everyone.  Also special this week is our monthly Spanish public speaking program on Saturday at 3:00pm.

Ronald McDonald will be at the Katy Branch Library next Tuesday, June 22.  Tickets are required for the program,  and may be picked up on Monday, June 21, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Katy Branch-Who Dun It@the Library Mystery Book Group

Another mystery to be solved!  The Who Dun It @ the Library Mystery Book Group meets on Saturday, July 3 at 10:30a.m. to discuss The Man from Beijing by Henning Mankell.  Our circulation desk keeps copies on hand for you to check out - so start reading now!
