Genealogy Lunchbox

Family TreeGenealogy has almost become trendy these days.  If you’re interested in joining the craze, stop by our Genealogy Lunchbox every Monday at noon.  We have people to help you and computers with access to  Coming up at a special gathering of this group on Monday, 9/13, at noon: “Getting Started in Genealogy” – Learn from Sue of the Clayton Library how and where to research your ancestors. 

And the winner is...

Milton Molbert!!  Mr. Molbert is the Katy Branch drawing winner of a $50 gift card from Amazon for participating in and completing the Adult Summer Reading Program!  Mr. Molbert said he particularly liked that the whole family took part in the reading programs.  When asked if he plans to participate next year, Mr. Molbert asked, "Can I sign up now?"

Katy Branch - Who Dun it @ the Library Mystery Group

Join us on Saturday, September 4 at 10:30am as we discuss The Footprints of God by Greg Iles.  The Who Dun It @ the Library Mystery Book Group meets on the first Saturday of each month.  We keep a supply of the featured mystery book at our circulation desk, so ask to check out yours!


The Katy Branch Library will hold a multilingual storytime for preschool children, ages 3 to 6, starting Monday September 13 at 11:00 am.  Each week in the month will feature a different language, Spanish, Chinese, and Hindi.  The last week of the month will be a cultural craft activity.   In the month of September, children will learn basic greetings for each language, along with stories and rhymes.
