ComputerWe can help!  We have a variety of ways to help you with your computer needs – at whatever level you’re learning.  Every Thursday at 11:00am we offer a Basic Computer Help hour.  You come with whatever has stumped you lately, and one of our librarians will walk you through it.  On the last Thursday of each month we focus this meeting on using our online library databases.  These are subscriptions we pay for so that you can use them for free (most of them accessible from home

Job Search Seminar Series is Back

Workforce Solutions is here again to present its timely and practical Job Search Seminar Series.  This time the sessions are held on alternate Thursday afternoons from 1:00 - 3:00p.m.  The topics  include: evaluating your skills and developing a plan; creating references, cover and thank you letters; networking and using the internet; and interviewing.  Check our calendar for the exact date and topic.

Tuesday, August 3, is our last special summer reading program for kids.  Mick Corley will entertain using music, magic, mime, puppets, and more.  His 2:00 show is sure to bring a lot of laughs.  Tickets are required and may be picked up on Monday, August 2.

The Week @ the Katy Library – August 2nd Edition

SummerThis week marks the end of the summer teen and kids programs, but we’re just getting started for adults.  Starting this week, every other Thursday at 1:00pm we’ll have the Workforce Solutions back out to help you get prepared for job searching.  The first topic is “Resumes”.  On Saturday at 10:30am is our monthly Mystery Book Club discussing Bad Things Happen by Harry Dolan.  <
