The R.E.A.D. dogs willl be in the Katy Branch Library on Saturday, October 30 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, and they're ready to celebrate Halloween.  Come on in and read your favorite scary story to one of them.  The Reading Education Assistance Dogs are trained therapy dogs.  These dogs, along with their handlers provide an irresistible, fun enviornment for children to practice their reading skills.  Registration is recommended.  Call 281-391-3509 or stop by the reference desk.

If using the computer or Internet "spooks" you, come to the Katy Branch on Thursday mornings at 11:00am  for our Basic Computer Help Class when we will help you get started and/or answer your computer related questions.  On the last Thursday of each month, also at 11:00 am, we are here to show you how to use our library databases, where you can do things like read magazine articles, access health information, do genealogy research - the list goes on and on and all for free!
