Summer Fun

SummerSchool’s almost out, and the library has a fun-filled summer planned for all kids, teens, and adults.  Here’s a preview:

Kids -- magic, science, father’s day cards, puppet shows, zumba, clowns, puzzles, and ferrets.

Teens -- prize drawings, life-size Candyland, tech petting zoo, duct tape, origami, cupcake contest, and a blacklight party.

Adults -- prize drawings, reflexology, gardening, computer classes, genealogy, book club, knitting, and crochet.

Katy Branch - Spanish Book Club/Club Hispano de Libros

Spanish speakers, join us as we meet monthly for a book discussion.  On Wednesday, June 1 at 6:00pm. we will discuss Solo una Mirada by Harlan Coben.

Spaces Still Available for Basics Computer Class Track B

Computer classIf you are planning on attending our basics computer classes, but have not registered, we still have spaces available for evening sessions. Track B classes are held Monday evenings at 5:30 and late Wednesday afternoons at 4:30. Give us a call or come into the library to reserve your place. Unfortunately, at this time track A has reached full capacity. We will offer more basics classes in the mornings starting in July. 


Celebrate music in Noche de Familia/Family Night on Wednesday, May 18 at 6:00 p.m.  Children will make musical intstruments and have a jam session for their parents.  All materials will be provided.  Family night is a great opportunity for families to gather and have fun together.


Summer Teen Volunteer Program Starts in June

High school teens!  Are you looking for a worthwhile activity to help out your community this summer?  Needing volunteer hours for school or  to put on your college or job application?  The Katy Branch is your answer - our summer teen volunteer program needs YOU!  Call or come by the library for more information.
