Children's Weekly Run-Down

CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! December is finally here and we are ready for our winter wonderland! Join us this week on Thursday the 8th of December @ 4 PM for our World Tour Book Club to explore different countries and their traditions and stories.

This Tuesday the 6th we will be visited by Santa from 10 AM to 12 PM. Come take your picture with Santa before or after you go to Story time! Snacks and camera provided.

Our Story times continue as normal! Be here for Toddler Time** on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime on Tuesday @ 2 PM, and Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. We also have our Family Storytime presented by Neighbors Emergency Center this Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

**Tickets required upon entry. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

Teens Gingerbread Game

Come by the Teen Area at any time during the month of December to play the Gingerbread Guessing Game. Take a look at the whiteboard and figure out which literary characters the Gingerbread people are dressed up as. Think you have all the correct answers? Turn your entry form in for a prize!

Santa Visits the Library!

He's making a list, checking it twice, and coming to the Kingwood Branch Library!  Join us as Santa makes a quick stop at on Tuesday, December 6th from 10 AM - 12 PM. Children can step in line to get a free picture taken with Santa and then stay to enjoy a delicious treat!

*Toddler Time and Infant Lapsit will be held as usual. Children can visit Santa around the storytimes.*

Tuesday, December 6, 2017 at 10 am, bring a child to the movies to view the popular Broadway film “Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas” Come and see this family-oriented film while enjoying delicious snacks provided my F.O.L.K. Space is limited and available on a first-come basis.

Teen Programs - Week of November 28

Are you interested in crafting, or coding, or both?! On Monday, November 28, from 4:30-5:30 PM, teens can come and make a craft in the Teen Area. We will craft for a cause by making superhero capes for children. No sewing skills required!

Then, on Tuesday, November 29 from 4:30-5:30 PM, we’re learning how to code with robots! Using Dash & Dot teens can learn how to code the robot to navigate through an obstacle course. Dash & Dot robots are part of Codename Gener8, a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-focused program is made possible through a grant from the Best Buy foundation and the generosity of the Friends of the Library-Kingwood (FOLK).
