April 28-May 10 Upcoming Computer Classes

The Kingwood Branch Library offers free computer and device classes throughout the month. The classes offered for the weeks of April 28 through May 10 are listed below.

TAG LogoLooking to help out the library?  Want to earn community service hours?  Need something else to put on college and scholarship applications?  Check out TAG, the Kingwood Library’s Teen Advisory Group.  This meeting meets the 4th Monday of each month during the school year at 6:30pm for an hour to help brainstorm ideas, prepare for programs, and come up with awesome library displays.  This group is open to all teens and tween ages 12-18 or in grades 6-12.  This month’s program will take place Monday, April 28th in the Teen Area; this will be our last meeting until August.  Questions?  Contact Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804.  You can also email her by clicking here.

Altered Books Contest & Workshops

Altered Book Kingwood LibraryThis is friendly reminder that Kingwood Branch Library's Altered Books Contest is still going! This year we've extended the contest to June 30th and are offering workshops. So if you haven't started on your entry, there's still time!

Participating is simple. Books and contest forms are available for pickup in the 2nd Floor Teen Room. You can enter in one of three categories to be eligible for prizes: Family (children ages 11 and under and/or siblings, with parents), Teens (ages 12 to 18 without assistance from parents), or Adults (ages 19+).

Para Los Niños this Monday @ 4 PM

Para Los NinosJoin us this Monday, April 21st, at 4:00 PM in the Children's Activity Room for our special Para los Niños program!  This family program serves parents whose first language is Spanish and is provided for free by the Children's Museum of Houston.  Everyone is welcome so come enjoy a great story, some activities, and have fun learning!

Book Club discusses The Year of Wonders
