Resumes and Cover Letters

On Tuesday, November 4, Workforce Solutions will be on hand to provide tips and advice on developing and polishing your resume and cover letter.  This free workshop will be held in our Computer Lab from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  For more information or to register, contact the library at 281-360-6804 or stop by the Adult Services information desk.

 

Discovery Thursday - Halloween!

HalloweenJoin us this Thursday, October 30th, for a very special Discovery Thursday program.  This week we will host a Halloween themed party!  Stop by the Children's Activity Room at 4:00pm to join in on the spooky fun!  Costumes are not required but are highly encouraged!

Important update for all Fun4Seniors!

Due to low enrollment, the Harris County Fun4Seniors field trip to "Murder By Chocolate: The Whodunnit Dessert", scheduled for Saturday, November 1, has been cancelled.  However, the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site trip is still on the calendar for Tuesday, November 18 from 9:15 AM until 5:30 PM.  The cost is only $4.00 per person, but be sure to sign up for that trip as you will make a whole day of it, with lunch on your own at Hill Country BBQ. 

Book Club reads "Destiny of the Republic" for November!

There is still plenty of time to read our Book Club's selection for November,  Destiny of the Republic: a Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President by Candice Millard.   All are welcome to join the lively discussion on Monday, November 17 at 7:00 PM.  Our Book Club meets on the third Monday of each month in the library Conference Room.  For more information, contact the library at 281-360-6804 or stop by the Adult Services desk on the 2nd floor.
