Teen Advisory Group- May 18 @ 6:30 PM

If you're a teen and interested in volunteering at the library, the Teen Advisory Group is the place to be! Join TAG for our last meeting of the school year and meet up with other teens to work together to help prepare for Summer Reading teen programs and make buttons for the monthly button battles. This month’s meeting will be on Thursday, May 18, from 6:30-7:30 PM. We meet in the upstairs conference room.

Children's Weekly Run-Down

CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! Happy Mother's day! Join us this week on Thursday the 18th of May @ 4 PM for our World Tour Book Club to explore different countries and their traditions and stories.

Our Story times continue as normal! Be here for Toddler Time** on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime on Tuesday @ 2 PM, and Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

**Tickets required upon entry. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

Book Discussion: Mon. 5/15 @ 7pm

Do you enjoy reading and then discussing what you have read? Did you know reading and discussions can be potential roots of a community bond?  Interest?  Then join other readers at the Kingwood Branch Library for a lively, monthly book discussion on the third Monday of each month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Library Conference Room.  All adults are welcomed?  For more information, please contact Adult Services at 281-360-6804.

Would you like to be able to draw and paint like a botanical artist? Are you interested in learning the tips & techniques of watercolors and the types of paper?  Whether you are a beginner or an art enthusiast, join us for a step-by-step art presentation with Betty Thurmond from the Houston Art Society-Houston on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
