Are you interested in learning the tips & techniques of watercolors and the types of paper?  Whether you are a beginner or an art enthusiast, join us for a step-by-step art presentation with Betty Thurmond from the Houston Art Society-Houston on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Photography: Introduction to Lightroom

Photography enthusiasts: are you seeking to gain familiarity with a photo editing software? Chuck Dugand of the Kingwood Photo Club will demonstrate techniques that are used for Adobe Lightroom on Saturday, May 13th from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM in the Training Lab. Teen 3D Printer Open Lab - May 11 @ 6:30 PM

Teens can come by our 3D Printer Open Lab to learn the basics of TinkerCAD, an online 3D design website, to create their own 3D objects to print out. The Open Lab will be held on Thursday, May 11, from 6:30-7:30 PM in the Computer Lab.

The 3D printer open lab is part of Codename Gener8, a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-focused program for teens.

Children's Weekly Run-Down

CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! Join us this week on Thursday, the 11th of May, @ 4 PM for our World Tour Book Club to explore different countries and their traditions and stories.

Our Story times continue as normal! Be here for Toddler Time** on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime on Tuesday @ 2 PM, and Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

**Tickets required upon entry. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.
