Learn about Kingwood's Clovis Archeological Discovery this Saturday @ 10:30 AM

dub crookOn Saturday, June 4th at 10:30 AM, join local archeologist, William "Dub" Crook to learn about Kingwood's first inhabitants: the Clovis culture.

In late 2014, Lenore Psencik, a member of the Houston Archeological Society (HAS) was walking through a new subdivision and saw a large highly curved blade and she recognized to be of probably Clovis affinity. Psencik contacted Dub Crook and they discovered more artifacts in the area. After securing permission the HAS conducted a surface survey and found more artifacts.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the KSAP presentation  "EAT Smart" For a Healthier Brain on June 7, 2016 at 10 am has been cancelled.  In lieu, we are having an additional "Creative Escapes" (Adult Coloring Pages) & Game Play activity just for you.  Please join us from 10 am to 12 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.

3D Printer Open LabDo you want to learn how to use a 3D printer and design objects to print out? Teens can learn how during our 3D printer open lab this Saturday, May 28, 2:00-4:00 in the Computer Lab.

The 3D printer open lab is part of Codename Gener8, a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-focused program, and is made possible through a grant from the Best Buy foundation and the generosity of the Friends of the Library-Kingwood (FOLK).
