CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! Happy new year everyone! Welcome to 2017. Join us this week on Thursday the 5th of January @ 4 PM for our World Tour Book Club to explore different countries and their traditions and stories.

Our Story times continue as normal! Be here for Toddler Time** on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime on Tuesday @ 2 PM, and Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

**Tickets required upon entry. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

Help! Find My Family-Tues. Jan 3 @ 10am

Join us on January 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a genealogy session with Devon Noel Lee, author of "21st Century Family" and "Create a Family History Scrapbook Digitally in 12 Simple Steps".  Whether new to genealogy or looking to enhance your research skills, this SAGE event will provide you the opportunity to learn and engage over genealogy and genetics. 

 **SAGE (Sharing and Gaining Experiences) Program events are free and no registration is required. Refreshments are compliments of Friends of Library Kingwood (FOLK). For more information, please contact the Kingwood Branch Library at 281-360-6804.  

Teen 3D Printer Open Lab - Dec. 27 @ 2:00

Do you want to learn how to use a 3D printer and design objects to print out? Teens can learn how to create their own 3D design during our 3D printer open lab on Tuesday, December 27, from 2:00-3:00 PM in the Computer Lab.

The 3D printer open lab is part of Codename Gener8, a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-focused program, and is made possible through a grant from the Best Buy foundation and the generosity of the Friends of the Library-Kingwood (FOLK). Kingwood Park H.S. Madrigal Singers at Kingwood Library

 

On December 12th, the Kingwood Park H.S. madrigal singers came to the Kingwood Library and sang for us on the second floor lobby area. Patrons and staff alike enjoyed hearing timeless holiday songs. Thanks for lending your voices to the library, Kingwood Park H.S.!  Happy Holidays!
