Teen 3D Printer Open Lab - Feb. 21 @ 4:30 PM

Do you want to learn how to use a 3D printer and design objects to print out? Teens can come by and work at their own pace to learn the basics of TinkerCAD, an online 3D design website,  and to create their own 3D objects to print out. Open Lab will be held on Tuesday, February 21, from 4:30-5:30 PM, in the Computer Lab.

The 3D printer open lab is part of Codename Gener8, a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-focused program for teens.

CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! We will be having a special Gardening Club program this Monday, the 20th. The Kingwood Garden Club is excited to host a special activity full of possibility! If you like crafts, this is the place to be*.

Join us this week on Thursday the 23rd of February @ 4 PM for our World Tour Book Club to explore different countries and their traditions and stories.

Our Story times continue as normal! Be here for Toddler Time** on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime on Tuesday @ 2 PM, and Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

**Tickets required upon entry. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

Teen #MondayMovie - February 20 @ 2:30 PM

Come by the meeting room on your school holiday, Monday, February 20, at 2:30 PM, to enjoy the movie Remember the Titans in honor of Black History Month. This movie is based on the true story about Herman Boone, the newly appointed African American High School Football coach, during the high school’s first year of integration in the year in 1971. Enjoy snacks too!

Group Travel: Let's take a Trip!


Are you interested in exploring the world with your family, friends, or traveling with a group? Whether you are planning a travel club or a trip to a family reunion, join us on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. for a cup of coffee. Carolyn Monroe, a Road Scholar Ambassador, will be here. She will help you create unique and valuable ways to make your next trip exciting and fun!

Teen Advisory Group - Feb. 16 @ 6:30 PM

If you're a teen and interested in volunteering at the library, the Teen Advisory Group is the place to be! Join TAG and meet up with other teens to work together to come up with program ideas, decorate the teen room, and make buttons for the monthly button battles.
