Talk It Up! "Love and Other Consolation Prizes"

You are invited to a lively and enriching book discussion. Join us July 16, 2018, at 7 pm for Talk It Up! Book Discussion. This month’s discussion is “Love and Other Consolations Prizes” by Jamie Ford. A half-Chinese orphan whose mother sacrificed everything to give him a better chance is raffled off as a prize at Seattle's 1909 World's Fair, only to land in the ownership of the madam of a notorious brothel where he finds friendship and opportunities, in a story based on true events.

Refreshments are compliments of F.O.L.K.  For more information on how you can be a part of the Kingwood Library Book Club, please call Adult Services at 832-927-7830, or email us at kw@hcpl.net.
