3D Printer Open Lab for Teens - Saturday, October 29

Do you want to learn how to use a 3D printer and design objects to print out? Teens can learn how during our 3D printer open lab on Saturday, October 29, from 2:00-3:00 PM in the Computer Lab.

The 3D printer open lab is part of Codename Gener8, a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-focused program, and is made possible through a grant from the Best Buy foundation and the generosity of the Friends of the Library-Kingwood (FOLK). Friday: Oct 21 @ 10AM - Mini Health Fair!

Are you interested in learning more about your health and living a healthy lifestyle? Then join us on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10 AM. Representatives from Continuity Care Home Health will hold a Mini Health Fair along with other activities in the Meeting Room. 

Jackie Lorenz, Director of Nursing and Janet Alonzo, Director of Business Development will offer free blood pressure testing, diabetes risk screening, and information about Alzheimer, cholesterol, and over the counter home health tests and medicines.  This program is a part of the Kingwood Senior Adult Program and is offered to all adults. No registration is required.  Refreshments provided by Atria Senior Living and F.O.L.K.

Teen Advisory Group - Oct 20 @ 6:30 PM

If you're a teen and interested in volunteering at the library, the Teen Advisory Group is the place to be! Join TAG and meet up with other teens to work together to come up with program ideas, decorate the Teen Room, and make buttons for the monthly button battles. This month’s meeting will be on Thursday, October 20, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM. Meeting will take place in the 2nd floor Conference Room.
