Your food choices matter a lot to stay healthier.  If you are asking the question, "What is the best way to prevent and control diabetes?," join us Tuesday, October 6th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm for a presentation on "Making Diabetics - Friendly Food Choices" by LeeAnn Hyatt, BSN, (TriCare).

Gulf Coast Reads programs @ Kingwood Branch Library

GCRIn honor of Gulf Coast Reads and this year's selection, The Promise by Ann Weisgarber, Kingwood Branch Library is hosting the following program during the month of October: 

Caldecott Book Club Today at 4pm

booksJoin us for our new and innovative after-school program every Thursday at 4:00pm in the Children's Activity Room.  The Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.  Each week we will read a Caldecott Award Winner and recreate the art that made these books famous!

TEENS: Comic Club Meets Tomorrow!

Kingwood Teen Comic ClubIt's time for our Comic Club again! We meet tomorrow, Thursday, October 1 from 6:30-7:30 in the Conference Room (the room at the top of the stairs). I'm excited for our discussion on Marvel's The Young Avengers and DC's New 52!
