Upcoming Programs for Adults @ the Library!

With our new expanded hours, the library is able to offer a variety of programs for adults this summer! Check out our line-up for the upcoming weeks!  For more information, contact the library @ 281-360-6804 or stop by the information desk on the 2nd floor.

"Comic Juggler"

Starting Monday, June 17, at 1:00 pm when the library is open, tickets will be available for the Thursday, June 20, 2:15 pm performance of the "Comic Juggler."  These free tickets may be picked up from the Children's Reference Desk.

Don't forget to bring your "Reading Passport" to get the stamp or sticker for each event you attend.  For each three stamps, you'll get a chance on our drawings at the end of the Summer Reading Program.

"Let's Mambo: Salsa for Kids"

"Let's Mambo: Salsa for Kids" on Monday, June 17, at 2:15 pm in the big  meeting room just to the right inside the lobby.  Free tickets will be available  while they last starting Thursday, June 10, at the Reference Desk in the Children's Area,

We have child-friendly movies in the Children's Actiivty Room on Wednesdays at 2:15.  There's free popcorn, too.

Basic Computer Security Class this Saturday!

computerOverwhelmed with computer terminology and don't know the difference between phishing and spamming? Want to beef up your knowledge about computer security? Look no further than your local library! This Saturday, June 15, at 11:00 AM, learn how to detect online threats and how to avoid them. Basic understanding of computers is recommended. Registration is recommended as space is limited, however, walk-ins are welcome.

Gaming Time in the Teen Game Room for All Ages

remoteStaring next week, June 19th, Kingwood Branch Library is opening the Teen Game Room for several special hours for Adult Gaming, Open Game Time, and Family Gaming.  Players can use the library's games for the Nintendo Wii or PS3, or they can bring their own games (subject to librarian approval).  Times are listed below.  For more information, please contact Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804 for more information.
