Something for Everyone: Upcoming Computer Classes

Computer LabIf you haven't stopped by Kingwood Branch Library lately, you will be happy to know we've increased the number of computer classes with varying times and topics. Whether you're a beginner or need a refresher, we have something for everyone. Topics include but not limited to social media, tablets and eReaders, and more. The best part is that all of our classes are free. Registration is required as space is limited.

"Happy the Clown" Will Be Here For The End of the Summer Reading Program Party!

Hooray! Happy the Clown will be here on Friday, August 9, at 2:15, for our End of the Summer Reading Program Party!  There will be punch and treats.  There still is time to log in the titles of books that have been read. 

Our Family Storytime on Saturdays is at 10:30, it's a great
Saturday morning tradition.

 

OOOOOOOO -NO! "Jungle Jim Bugs" Not Able to Come

OOOOOOOO...No!  "Jungle Jim Bugs"  won't be able to come to the Kingwood Library, Thursday, August 8, at 2:15, but...don't worry the library will come up with something that will be fun,...and a surprise!  Don't be too sad, because...'HAPPY THE CLOWN" will be here at 2:15, Friday, August 9 for our "End of the Summer Reading Party!"

Hurricane & Disaster Preparedness!

Hurricane season is upon us!  On Wednesday, August 7 at 6:30 P.M., the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will be on hand to present "Hurricane & Disaster Preparedness".  This informative program, which will be held in the library Meeting Room, is free and open to the public.

Sushi by Flickr member cl_03Are you looking to beat the heat but want to get out of the house this weekend? If so, this Saturday we have two great programs open to all ages!

Back by popular demand, Sushi Club of Houston's Carl R. will show you how to make sushi rolls and share awesome facts about Japan. This program ties in with our Summer Reading Program, Have Book - Will Travel. So come learn to make your own sushi and if you're lucky, you might get to taste some too!
