Magic at the Kingwood LIbrary!

Ted Schwank, magician, will perform in the Meeting Room, Monday, July 16, at 7:30 pm.  Tickets will be available beginning Thursday, July 12.  It is still not too late to sign up for the Summer Reading Program.  You can find out about it on our website under the "Get a Clue" poster. Friday free movies with popcorn at 2:15.        Family Story Time is Saturdays at 3:00 pm.

QR Codes at the Library!

For your convenience, our Adult Services department will be including QR-codes with our New York Times Best Seller lists.  The QR codes for both Adult Fiction and Non-fiction best sellers will take you directly to our catalog!

Free QR reader applications are available for Apple and Android devices which can be downloaded to your device.  Once they are on your device, just scan the QR code that corresponds to the title that interests you. Scanning the code will take you directly to our catalog in order for you to check for availability and location.  If the item has a waiting list, you can request it from your device, using the same procedure for placing a request online.

Happy Independence Day - the Fourth of July!

 Friday at 2:15 pm is movie time with free popcorn, It's good, too, because we have a new popcorn popper!  Saturday, June 30, at 3 pm Family Storytime craft is a Fourth of July sparkler wand.

It is not too late to sign-up for the Summer Reading Program.  You can do this by going to our website: hcpl.net  under the picture of the "Get a Clue" poster.

Free Children's Music Concert - Tickets Still Available

We still have free tickets for Monday night, June 25 at 7:30 pm for the "Non-Toxic Band" program. They are available at the Children's Reference Desk.  Starting Saturday, June 23, tickets will be available for the juggler, Claude Sims, who will perform on Thursday, June 28, at 2:15. It is still not too late to sign up for the Summer Reading Program.  Check it out at our website under the "Get a Clue" poster

Teen Gaming For the Family


During Summer, families are invited to the Teen Game Room to play one of our E-rated Wii or PS3 games!  Come join in the fun and try out our family friendly computer games any Thursday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.  All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by parents.
