Summer Fun for Kids

   Come watch free kids movies with free popcorn on Fridays at 2:15 pm in the Children's Activity Room.  On Tuesdays at 1:30, Miss Connie has her "Read Aloud"  time with the book:   Tales from the Odyssey -The One-eyed Giant .   Since the theme for the Summer Reading Program is "Get A Clue",  on Thursday, June 14 at 2:15 pm , we're having a "Cops and Robbers" party with snacks and a craft.  No need to get tickets for this one.  Most of our special programs this summer have an asterisk next to them on our calendar which means you will need to get tickets for these.  Tickets are available at the Children's Reference De

Memorial Day 2012

Celebrate Memorial Day 2012!  The Kingwood Library will be closed for this holiday. We will open as usual on Tuesday, May 29 at 10 am.

Stop by in the Children's Area to pick up a calendar for the 2012 Summer Reading Program: "Get a Clue at the Library." You may find a calendar  for all the activities located at our website as well.

Hungry For More Hunger Games?

Teens and tweens are invited to Kingwood Library for a "Hunger Games" themed party!  This Summer Reading Club kick-off will include various fun activities and a "Hunger Games" Trivia Challenge. Individuals between the ages of 8 and 18 are welcome to come join us on Monday, June 4, from 3-5 p.m. in the library Meeting Room. For more information about this free program, call 281-360-6804 or visit our Young Adult Department on the second floor.

Summer Reading and Read to Me Program calendars are here!  Sign-up will be online starting Monday, June 4.

We're having a recycled items craft  for children on Monday, May 21, at 4 pm. It could save some money. Come join us.

The F.O.L.K (Friends of the Library Kingwood) bookstore in our lobby is operated by volunteers, and it  provides funds for our programs. They have bookbags for sale. Drop in and look around.

8th Grade Grads Welcome!
