Kingwood Library Closed for "Independence Day" Thursday, July 4, 2013

The Kingwood LIbrary will be closed to celebrate Independence Day, Thursday, July 4.  We will open again Friday, July 5,  at 10:00 am. Family Story Time will be Saturday, July 6, at 10:30 am.

Hunger happens in the summer, too, and the Kingwood Library will be collecting food items during the month of July, for HAAM, Humble Area Assistance Ministry.  There will be boxes in many places in the library for these.

A Summer Treat for All Ages!!!

Come one, come all to our Teen Game Room this summer for our new line-up of gaming for all ages!  We've opened up our Teen Game Room on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 PM for all ages, Thursday mornings from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM for families, and Friday mornings from 10:30 - 11:30 AM for adults!  The library's games include the Nintendo Wii and PS3, but gaming enthusiasts may also bring their own games, subject to Game Room rules and Librarian approval. The Heritage Society presents "176 Years of Houston History"

Houston 1943 a rainy dayDo you have a passion for history and love learning? If so, you won't want to miss this! This Thursday, June 27th, The Heritage Society at Sam Houston Park will visit Kingwood Branch Library to do a special presentation on Houston History, from the Austin colony to present. All ages are welcome to attend. This one-hour presentation begins at 10:30am in the 1st Floor Meeting Room. No registration is required.
