Landing Your First Job

Reception to Celebrate New Hours!!

Don't forget!!  Come join us tomorrow, May 23, for a reception @ 4:00 p.m. to celebrate the library's new extended hours!!  Thanks and congratulations will be in order for Jack Cagle, County Commissioner, and Rhoda Goldberg, Director of the Harris County Public Library, both instrumental in making these new hours a reality.  It will be a special treat to have Ms. Goldberg present, since she will be retiring at the end of May after thirty-seven years of service to Harris County Public Library!

CityscapeThe Houston Sightseeing Tips for Families that was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 11th, is rescheduled for Thursday, June 13th at 6:30 PM. All ages are welcome to learn about Houston's hidden gems just in time for summer. This program is presented by Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Sushi Demonstration Rescheduled for Saturday, May 25

To help us celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Carl Rosa, from the Sushi Club of Houston, will be on hand on Saturday, May 25, for a free sushi demonstration!  Come join us in the Children's Meeting Room at 12:30 p.m. for this informative and entertaining presentation. All are welcome and no registration is required.

Asian/Pacific Heritage Month Craft for "Magical Monday"

Come make an origami craft, Monday, May 20, at 4 pm in the Children's Activity Room. 

Dragoneers will have their last meeting for the school year, Thursday, May 23, at 4 pm.
